Climate change mitigation is a human-mediated reduction of the anthropogenic (human) emissions, which includes strategies to reduce Green House Gases (GHG) sources and emissions and enhancing GHG sinks.
Mitigation of climate change may be achieved by among others: changes in agriculture, increasing the capacity of carbon-sinks through reforestation and forest preservation and improved waste management.
ECODEP partners with organized groups in rural and semi arid parts of Kenya to implement environmentally-friendly practices using Sustainable Agricultural Land Management (SLAM) and Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) approaches while promoting ecological agriculture.
